John Major - Chairman, Broadcom Corporation Chairman John Major is the Founder and President of MTSG, a strategic consulting business specializing in emerging opportunities. Previously, he was Chairman and CEO of Novatel Wireless, a provider of wireless data access solutions for PDA's and laptops, where he led the company's successful IPO in the fall of 2000. Before Novatel Wireless, Mr. Major was Chairman and CEO of Wireless Knowledge, a joint venture of QUALCOMM Incorporated and Microsoft Corporation, and held various positions at Motorola, Inc. including Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Major currently serves as a director of five public companies: Broadcom Corporation, Novatel Wireless, Inc., Verilink Corporation, Lennox International, Inc. and Littelfuse, Inc. Mr. Major participates in several industry and community organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Governors' Executive Committee for the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and the Electronic Industries Association (EIA). Mr. Major received a B.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Rochester, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, an M.B.A. from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Loyola University.

Rick Kornfeld - Former Executive, Qualcomm, Dot Wireless, Texas Instruments, NextWave Vice Chairman Rick Kornfeld serves as a director and/or advisor to several private companies in San Diego, including SKY MobileMedia. Mr. Kornfeld served as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for NextWave Wireless and NextWave Broadband. In this role, Mr. Kornfeld was responsible for mergers, acquisitions, and investments, playing a leading role in developing the company's strategy. Before joining NextWave, Mr. Kornfeld was the CEO of Staccato Communications, Inc. Prior to this, Mr. Kornfeld was the Vice President and General Manager of Texas Instruments' Wireless Center responsible for the Wireless Chipset Business. He joined Texas Instruments through the acquisition of Dot Wireless, Inc., which he co-founded and served as the Chairman, CEO and President. Before founding Dot Wireless, Mr. Kornfeld was a founding member of NextWave Telecom, Inc., where he was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer Products division. Prior to NextWave, Mr. Kornfeld was Vice President of Engineering at QUALCOMM, Inc. Mr. Kornfeld has also held various technical positions at M/A-Com and Linkabit. Mr. Kornfeld has earned distinction in the wireless industry for his many innovations in the field of wireless voice and data communications. He has published numerous papers and is a named inventor on 17 patents. Mr. Kornfeld is a graduate from the School of Engineering, University of California, where he was also named the Alumnus of the Year in 2001. He serves on the Council of Advisors of UCSD's Jacobs School of Engineering and on the Board of CommNexus San Diego.

Rory Moore - CEO, CommNexus San DIego Board Director & CEO Rory Moore was the seed round investor, co-founder of Peregrine Semiconductor Corp., one of the world’s leading providers of radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) for the wireless communications and aerospace markets. Peregrine ships millions of chips every week to cell phone manufacturers around the globe. Rory was also the seed round investor and founding CEO of Silicon Wave, Inc., now owned by Qualcomm. Silicon Wave produced the world’s first Bluetooth chips. Bluetooth chips are now in over a billion devices from cell phones to automobiles. Rory was a cofounder of e-Fire.com, and Optical River. In addition, he is co-chair of the Military Special Interest Group and a member of the NextStage committee. A University of Michigan alum, Rory’s other interests include angel investing, competition aerobatic flying, scuba diving and surfing.

Kevan Bradshaw - Partner, PriceWaterhouseCoopers Treasurer Kevan Bradshaw is the leader of PriceWaterhouseCoopers' Assurance practice in San Diego. As a Partner in PwC's Technology, Infocom and Entertainment practice, Kevan principally serves technology-based clients in all stages of development from early stage start-ups to established multinational companies. Kevan has extensive experience in advising on complex accounting and financial reporting matters in the areas of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards. His experience includes advising U.S. multinationals on doing business in China while he served as the leader of PwC’s Assurance and Business Advisory practice in our Beijing office from 1997-2003.

Maria Sendra - Partner, Baker & McKenzie Secretary Maria Sendra is a partner at Baker & McKenzie and is also Chair of Southern California Corporate and Securities Practice. Her practice focuses on corporate and strategic companies in the wireless, computer software and hardware, energy, biotechnology and retail industries. She frequently counsels public and private companies on the more intricate issues arising out of follow-on financings, SEC compliance, complex licensing, corporate alliances, and mergers and acquisitions strategies. Ms. Sendra received her undergraduate degree from Yale University (BA, magna cum laude) and her master's degree from Indiana University (MA, with distinction). Ms. Sendra received her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where she received an award for excellence in written advocacy. Her background is in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. She also studied and worked as a research scientist at Yale and as a documentary filmmaker at Harvard University. Richard Baldridge - President & COO, ViaSat Board Director Richard A. Baldridge joined ViaSat in April 1999 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. From September 2000 to August 2002, Mr. Baldridge served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer. His duties include corporate responsibility for all day-to-day operations of the company's five operating groups, five subsidiaries, and investor relations. Mr. Baldridge came to ViaSat from Raytheon Corporation where he was vice president and general manager of its Raytheon Training Systems division. With over 4,000 employees in the division, his responsibilities included day-to-day management including marketing, legal, and overall management, in addition to finance. Other recent experience includes roles as chief operating officer, CFO, and VP of finance and administration for Hughes Information Systems and Hughes Training Inc. Mr. Baldridge also held various senior management roles within General Dynamics Corporation. Mr. Baldridge graduated with a B.S. degree in business administration, and an emphasis in information systems from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, where he is a member of the NMSU School of Business Hall of Fame.

Jordan Becker - Senior Vice President, SAIC Board Director Jordan Becker is Senior Vice President at Science Applications International (SAIC) Corporate headquarters. Cable, Ph.D., serves as Chief Executive Officer of Peregrine Semiconductor, and has held positions as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Technology and Engineering since joining Peregrine in 1996. Martin Caniff - Founder & President, Solekai Systems Board Director Martin Caniff is Founder and President of Solekai Systems, an engineering services company founded in 2002, which originally specialized in software development for the consumer electronics industry. Solekai’s customers include DirecTV, TiVo, Comcast, and Time Warner. In the last two years, Solekai has added a new division specializing in the software development for the Smart Grid. Solekai provides the integration of software from the equipment vendors with the existing utility company business software. Prior to founding Solekai, Martin was President of Doctor Design, another services company based in San Diego. He also served in senior management and engineering positions at DocuFile, Optigraphics and Megatek Corporation. Martin received a bachelor’s degree from Harvey Mudd College in mathematics and physics.

Bill Davidson - Senior Vice President, Global Marketing & Investor Relations, Qualcomm Board Director Bill Davidson is senior vice president of global marketing and investor relations for Qualcomm Incorporated. In this role, Davidson provides leadership for Qualcomm's marketing and public relations efforts worldwide and is the primary liaison with the investment community and Qualcomm shareholders. Prior to joining Qualcomm in 2002, Davidson served as senior vice president of corporate affairs and carrier relations at Aether Systems, where he acted as a liaison between the company and wireless carriers, negotiated network carrier contracts and formed joint marketing agreements. Davidson has more than 20 years of experience in technical sales, marketing and general management roles in the telecommunications industry. He spent 13 years at Bell Atlantic that included substantial experience within the wireline business at New Jersey Bell, as well as serving subsequently as vice president of wireless data sales and marketing for Bell Atlantic Mobile. He has served as secretary of the board of the Wireless Data Forum and as a member of the Executive Advisory Committee of the Wireless Internet Caucus within the Cellular Telephone Industry Association. In addition to being regularly quoted as an expert in industry publications, Davidson has appeared on CNBC's “The Edge” and “The Weekly Business Report” for PBS. Davidson also has been a guest speaker at Boston University, Harvard University and The Wharton School of Business.

VADM Walter J. Davis, USN (Ret.) Board Director Vice Admiral Walter J. Davis, USN (Ret) was Navy N6, Director Space systems, Information Warfare systems, Command and Control Systems, and Modeling and Simulation where he directed Navy’s $3.5B IT budget. He is former VP for Business Development at GDE Systems (BAE). He was a Navy fighter pilot, Aircraft Carrier CO, and Battle Group Commander. He served in numerous Navy engineering positions including Navy Engineer for the F-14 and Naval Warfare IT Architect (SPAWAR), He was a co-founder of E-fire. Tami Erwin - President, West Area, Verizon Wireless Board Director Tami Erwin is President – West Area for Verizon Wireless, responsible for the company’s operations throughout the western United States, an area spanning 12 states plus El Paso, Texas. Erwin previously served as president-Washington/Baltimore/Virginia Region for Verizon Wireless, responsible for sales, marketing, customer service and retail stores in Washington DC, Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Prior to that, she served as president – Southwest Region and vice president – Customer Service for West Area. Erwin began her career in the wireless industry in 1987 as a customer service representative for US WEST in Bellevue, Wash. Later she held a series of management positions representing a broad range of customer service functions, including outbound calling, technical operations, call center administration, activations and service inquiries. Michael D Gianni - Founder & CEO, Md7 Board Director Michael founded Md7 in 2003 with 20 years of wireless infrastructure experience. As Chairman and CEO, he has pioneered a company that is committed to alleviating real estate costs associated with doing business in the wireless industry by providing an outsource solution in the areas of asset and infrastructure management to wireless operators globally. Michael and his executive team at Md7 are committed to sharing their success with those in need around the world through dedicated corporate giving. The company contributes to multiple organizations that fight hunger, provide improved medical services, connect with inner-city kids, prevent child abuse, and support and love the poorest of the poor in many nations. Stan Glasgow - President & COO, Sony Electronics, Inc. Board Director Stan Glasgow is the president and chief operating officer of Sony Electronics Inc. He was appointed to the position in March 2006. Prior to this role he served as president of Sony Electronics Consumer Sales Company where his responsibilities included management of the company’s retail and online sales channels, in addition to oversight of the SonyStyle retail store strategy in the United States. Previously, Glasgow was senior vice president of Sony Electronics Information Technology Products Division where, in his short time heading the department, he refocused and targeted VAIO® sales channel strategy, restructured the CLIE®handheld business and coordinated media player product strategy. Glasgow joined Sony in 2001 as vice president of computer displays where he managed product and loss and marketing operations for LCD and CRT displays. During his tenure, Glasgow developed innovative sales programs and product strategies that resulted in $275 million in sales. Prior to joining Sony in 2001, Glasgow was the owner and president of Capetech Sales, where he spearheaded sales of display products and consulting services to Asian electronics companies. Through the establishment of contracts with major U.S. IT companies, Glasgow was able to increase sales by more than $400 million for several Asian companies. Prior to that, he was CEO of Capetronic Computer Products Holdings Ltd., a global display manufacturing company with more than $600 million in Far East/OEM manufacturing revenue. While at Capetronic, Glasgow held a variety of executive positions ranging from, president and managing director to product manager to manager of Far East Operations. Glasgow's thirty-plus years of consumer electronics and computer experience have included oversight of total sales and marketing management, in addition to design, engineering and financial supervision of consumer electronics products in the United States and abroad. Glasgow was named Sony Corporation Group Executive in June 2007. The title is given in recognition of leadership and granted to individuals who are making significant contributions to specific Sony companies in addition to the global Sony group. Glasgow holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Bo Hedfors - Former President, Ericsson, Inc., Motorola Board Director Bo Hedfors, a native of Sweden, has 40 years of global telecom experience in both wireline and wireless. He founded his own telecom/internet consulting practice in Chicago, USA in 2002. Previously, Bo was Executive Vice President of Motorola and President of its global wireless infrastructure business based in Chicago. He came to Motorola in 1998 from Ericsson, where he spent 30 years in different management positions. Among them, president of Honeywell Ericsson Development Co. in Anaheim, California 1984-1986; Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of LM Ericsson in Stockholm, Sweden 1990-1993; President and CEO of Ericsson, Inc. in Dallas, Texas 1994-1998. Bo is member of the board of two public companies: Tellabs in Illinois and Openwave in California. He is also on the board of four private companies: Silicon Valley based Kineto Wireless, Firetide and Purewave Networks and San Diego based E-Band Communications. Bo has served as advisor to Sun, Compaq and HP and is currently engaged as advisor to both small private and large public communications companies worldwide. Bo holds a Master of Electrical Engineering degree from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden and he is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.

Kevin Hell - CEO, DivX Board Director Kevin Hell is Chief Executive Officer of DivX, Inc. and a member of its Board of Directors. Over the past seven years, Hell has been instrumental in transforming DivX into a market leader in the rapidly emerging digital video market, connecting high quality Internet content with consumer electronics. He has served as DivX’s Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Operating Officer and President, and was responsible for the growth of the company’s highly profitable global consumer device licensing business. Under his leadership, DivX has become a strong global brand with an ecosystem that encompasses an installed base of hundreds of millions of devices, a large international community of DivX users, and formidable relationships with major consumer electronic companies and Hollywood studios. Since he joined the company in 2002, DivX has grown from under $3 million in annual revenue and 35 employees to $94 million in annual revenue and more than 300 employees by the end of 2008. Before joining DivX, Hell served as Senior Vice President of Product Management for Palm’s Solutions Group, where he managed the Palm branded products and wireless services division worldwide. As the Vice President of the Connected Home for Gateway Computers, Hell was responsible for pioneering innovative digital home products beyond the PC. Hell also worked with The Boston Consulting Group for seven years assisting clients in the high-technology, telecommunications and entertainment markets. Earlier in his career, he served as a systems engineer with Hughes Aircraft Company responsible for overall mission design on numerous satellite and interplanetary spacecraft programs. While he is a veteran in the digital media and connected home markets, Hell also possesses an interest in film and movie making. He was the executive producer for the short film “Some Folks Call it a Sling Blade” that was the basis for the blockbuster film “Sling Blade” starring Billy Bob Thornton. Hell received an MBA in finance and management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an MS and BS in engineering from Stanford University.

Jeff Hwang - President, LG Electronics MobileComm USA Board Director Mr. Jeff Hwang was appointed president of LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A Inc in January 2008. Hwang holds a business administration degree from Sogang University in Korea and has been with and contributed to the development of LG for 16 years. He oversees all LG Mobile Phones’ North American development, manufacturing and marketing efforts as well as strategic planning, carrier relationships and business development. He began his tenure with the company in Seoul, Korea, where he managed overseas sales of audio and video electronic products. In 1992, he was promoted to LG Electronics in the U.K. and as head of product marketing, played an integral role in the introduction of new consumer electronic products to the British market. Five years later, Hwang advanced to the Chairman's office to become a group member in Korea, where he worked to develop the strategy for LG's affiliates. His contribution there earned him a promotion to head the marketing group of LG Electronics, Inc. in Korea. As senior manager, Hwang successfully launched next generation phones for the overseas advanced mobile handset market. For the past year, Hwang led LG’s mobile communication business for the Korean market. Recently, he served as senior vice president of marketing and product planning for LG Mobile Phones from 2003 until 2006 where he oversaw marketing intelligence, product management and marketing communications for the North American market.

Jim Kirkpatrick - CTO, Sierra Wireless Board Director Jim Kirkpatrick joined Sierra Wireless in 2003 as Senior Vice President, Engineering. Prior to joining AirPrime, Jim spent seven years at DENSO International America, Inc. as Vice President of Wireless Technologies and Senior Director of the DENSO Hardware Development Group. He also spent eight years working as Senior RF Staff Engineer at Hughes Aircraft Co., where he spearheaded advanced R&D of spaceborne frequency synthesizers and receivers for DoD applications. Jim holds a BSEE from California State University in Fresno, as well as an MSEE and an EEE from the University of Southern California.

Terry Lingren - Vice President, Engineering, Kyocera Wireless Corp. Board Director Terry Lingren is the Vice President of engineering for Kyocera Wireless Corporation. He directs the development of advanced technologies for Kyocera's global telecommunications companies. Prior to helping start the Telecommunications Research division of Kyocera Wireless in 2003, Mr. Lingren was Vice President of Engineering for Kyocera Wireless Corp. and QUALCOMM's Consumer Products Division, responsible for the design and development of all CDMA wireless products. Mr. Lingren previously was Vice President of Engineering at Amplica Inc., a microwave and RF subassemblies manufacturer, and also held various positions at Hughes Aircraft Company in RF component design, antenna design and subsystem development.

Clint McClellan - Senior Director of Market Development, Qualcomm Board Director Clint McClellan is currently the Senior Director of Market Development for QUALCOMM Incorporated. McClellan's current responsibilities include establishing opportunities in the Life Sciences market. McClellan joined QUALCOMM in December of 1997 as director of strategic marketing. McClellan brings a wealth of wireless industry analysis experience to QUALCOMM. Since joining QUALCOMM, McClellan has served in business development roles and established the Global Industry Analyst program and Global Market Intelligence program at QUALCOMM. Currently McClellan serves as the Board Chairman for the Foundation for the Children of the Californias which supports Hospital Infantil, a pediatric Hospital, in Tijuana, Mexico. He also serves on the boards of CommNexus. Prior to joining the Company, McClellan served as a senior analyst for Gartner Group/Dataquest's Telecommunications Group in its personal communications wireless program. While he was at Dataquest, McClellan served as a news anchor for two years on the Good Morning San Jose show at KNTV, an ABC affiliate, where he presented analysis and commentary on daily news events affecting high-technology industries. Previously, McClellan worked as a marketing specialist at Telephone House Nippo in Kobe, Japan and for CH2M Hill Consulting Engineers in Oakland, California. McClellan holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Thomas Munro - CEO, Verimatrix Board Director Thomas Munro is currently CEO of Verimatrix, a company which sets the standard for software-based content security and revenue enhancement technologies in pay-TV networks, with a global customer base of telecommunications providers. Mr. Munro has over 22 years of experience in both finance and technology. Prior to Verimatrix, he was President of Wireless Facilities, Inc., a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless mobility and broadband wireless networks. Munro also served as CFO of WFI from 1997 to 2000, through the company's successful IPO, and as President from September of 2000 until his retirement in January 2003. Prior to joining WFI, Mr. Munro was founder and CEO of @Market, a retail sporting goods website.

Larry Paulson - Senior Vice President & General Manager, Nokia Board Director Larry Paulson joined Nokia in 1987. He is currently Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Nokia CDMA Business Unit and has served as President of Technophone Corporation, a Nokia owned subsidiary, President of Nokia Product Corporation, another wholly owned subsidiary and Vice President of Americas Business Development. He started in his current role in 1997. Mr. Paulson’s current responsibilities include product roadmaps, business planning, feature strategies and application activities for all Nokia CDMA products worldwide. He has served as a charter member of Nokia Americas Management Board and currently represents Nokia as a member of the CDMA Development Group Leadership Council. Mr. Paulson also represents Nokia as a Mentor Sponsor of CommNexus San Diego and serves on the organization's Board. Ake Persson - Former President, Ericsson Wireless Communications Board Director Ake Persson is an established member of the telecom industry with over 30 years of experience. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for several corporations and organizations including CommNexus. From 1999 until his retirement in February 2004, Persson was the president of Ericsson’s CDMA Systems Business Unit and president of Ericsson Wireless Communications Inc. in San Diego. From 1995 to 1999, Persson was the vice president for marketing and sales for Ericsson Radio Systems, encompassing all wireless activities of the global Ericsson organization. From 1993 to 1995, he was the vice president of business development for Ericsson US. Between 1970 and 1993, he served Ericsson in a number of other roles, including vice president and general manager of Ericsson’s Mobile Voice and Data Systems from 1984 to 1989. In addition to his experience with Ericsson, for two years, Persson was the executive vice president of RAM Mobile Data, Inc., a nationwide data service provider, which was subsequently acquired by BellSouth International, Inc. Persson holds a B.Sc. in theoretical physics and mathematics from the University of Uppsala, Sweden.

Glenn Umetsu - CTO, Cricket Communications Board Director As executive vice president and chief technical officer for Cricket Communications, Inc., Glenn Umetsu is responsible for overseeing and directing the Company’s major strategic programs and projects, including new market launches across the business. This role includes not only the network build-out activities, but also the establishment of sales and distribution plans for new markets. Additionally, Mr. Umetsu leads the Company’s technology planning and provides support as the business continues major system expansion and improvements to support expected growth. Mr. Seybold is a Fellow in the Radio Club of America in recognition of his contributions to the wireless industry. He also co-founded and served as a board member of the Personal Computing and Communications Association (PCCA). Professor Ramesh Rao - Director, Calit2 San Diego Board Director Prof. Ramesh Rao has been on the faculty of the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, where he is currently Professor and Director of the San Diego Division of the California Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2). In April 2004, he was named QUALCOMM Endowed Chair in Telecommunications and Information Technology. His research interests include architectures, protocols and performance analysis of wireless, wire line and photonic networks for integrated multi-media services. Prior to his appointment as the Director of the San Diego Division of the California Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2) he served as the Director of the UCSD Center for Wireless Communications (CWC) and was the Vice Chair of Instructional Affairs in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
