Jeff Hwang - President, LG Electronics MobileComm USA Board Director Mr. Jeff Hwang was appointed president of LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A Inc in January 2008. Hwang holds a business administration degree from Sogang University in Korea and has been with and contributed to the development of LG for 16 years. He oversees all LG Mobile Phones’ North American development, manufacturing and marketing efforts as well as strategic planning, carrier relationships and business development. He began his tenure with the company in Seoul, Korea, where he managed overseas sales of audio and video electronic products. In 1992, he was promoted to LG Electronics in the U.K. and as head of product marketing, played an integral role in the introduction of new consumer electronic products to the British market. Five years later, Hwang advanced to the Chairman's office to become a group member in Korea, where he worked to develop the strategy for LG's affiliates. His contribution there earned him a promotion to head the marketing group of LG Electronics, Inc. in Korea. As senior manager, Hwang successfully launched next generation phones for the overseas advanced mobile handset market. For the past year, Hwang led LG’s mobile communication business for the Korean market. Recently, he served as senior vice president of marketing and product planning for LG Mobile Phones from 2003 until 2006 where he oversaw marketing intelligence, product management and marketing communications for the North American market.
