Mike Salfity - Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, IPG - Office of Strategy and Technology - HP Board Director Mike Salfity is vice president and chief technology officer of HP’s Imaging and Printing Group (IPG). In this role, Mike and his team work across the business to oversee IPG’s long-range technical strategy as well as research and development efforts. His deep knowledge of print technologies and software architecture enables him to contribute significantly to IPG’s strategy of driving digital page growth.
Prior to joining HP in September, 2010, Mike was Managing Director of the Audatex North America and Hollander companies of Solera Holdings, Inc., a global automotive claims software and services provider. As a managing director, Mike was responsible for the balance sheet of all business lines in the U.S. and Canada. Earlier, Mike spent 25-years at Xerox corporation where he held a number of technical leadership and general management positions. As the vice president of the Global Software Delivery & Solutions business unit he was responsible for developing and delivering software for Xerox’s entire $17 billion business. Prior to that, Mike led the Workflow Solutions business unit enabling Xerox’s transition from a box-focused company to a software and solutions provider. Mike spent the first ten years of his career working with the Xerox corporate research group in various technical strategy and engineering roles. He earned a master’s of business administration from the University of Southern California, and a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Long Beach.
