This group is headed by Ivan Krivokapic, who is our Director of RF Systems Engineering. Ivan has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade in Yugoslavia and has almost 20 years of experience, having worked for ADC Telecommunications, Quake Wireless, and Graviton. He came to us from ST Microelectronics, where he was responsible for a team of System Engineers and all aspects of the RF system design of an RF ASIC transmitter/receiver chipset. Valeri Timochenkov – Valeri has a PhD and a total of about 23 years of teaching, research, and IC design, three of which were at Multilink Technology Corporation and five of which were with us here at Pulse Link. He is one of the core team members in our RFIC group, with great experience with design for GaAs, Si, and SiGe technologies with both IBM and Jazz Semiconductor.
Viktor Novozhilov – Victor has an MSEE and about 23 years of experience in IC design and worked for Samsung and Multilink Technology before he came to Pulse Link five years ago. Diane Stauffer is our Supervisor of Physical Design, though in this role she is still very much “hands-on” with RFIC layout. Bladimir Genoves is an Associate Engineer in the RF Group. Bladimir came to us from the local operation of Altera, though he has also worked at Cubic Defense, L-3 Communications, and Hughes-JVC. Bladimir started his technical career in the Marine Corps, where he attended the Communications Electronics School at Twenty Nine Palms and then spent some time with the Corps in Okinawa and at Camp Pendleton. He then went on to get his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electronics Engineering from ITT Technical Institute. Jason Dawkins – Jason is the company’s IT Manager and has build up and maintained a network of 38 servers, switches, and 250 PC’s. In his role he has been involved in a total corporate move from one location to another, setting up the complete infrastructure, and supporting both general computer systems for the company and specialized need for various engineering departments. Tony Fleet is Pulse Link’s Building Superintendent. As such, he is responsible for the day-to-day management of our building. He oversees the janitors and is the go-to person to contact for anything that needs to be done in the building. He is responsible for maintaining OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) logs, ensuring that we comply with their regulations, and make sure the MSDS (Manufacturer Data Safety Sheets) are kept up-to-date and reflect the chemicals kept in the facility. He is also responsible for maintaining the building, grounds, and parking lot; keeping it looking like a professional environment. Arthur Scheele is our facilities supervisor. Arthur has over 20 years experience in home building and facilities and has also built some of the Plexiglas housings to protect our antennas for demonstrations in the rain, built antenna mounts for the dish antennas, built the metal encasements for antenna filters, and rebuilt our anechoic chamber. He has also done some shockingly good work in wiring some of the offices. Mike Wang is our Lead UWB Systems Engineer, and one of the most productive members of our team. He has a great grasp of systems, communications, algorithm development, and just how things are supposed to work. Mike has his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from McMaster University in Canada and worked for Lucent Technologies in New Jersey for about four years. He has a BS and MS in Solid State Physics, and a Doctorate on Environmental Science and Engineering. Iain Huntly-Playle is our Director of Systems Integration and Test. In this role he is responsible for definition, design, and production of our Product Requirements and System Specifications documents, and the resulting system level hardware definitions. In addition, Iain’s responsibilities include engineering schematic development and production, testing/debug and integration, development of test plans and performance characterization, associated project schedules, cost analyses, production of associated user manuals and similar associated requirements. Iain has a BS in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, as well as an MS in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from San Diego State University.
