He was the founder of Doctor Design, a leading engineering services firm specializing in consumer entertainment devices. Dr. Design was sold to Wind River in 1996. Marco has been active in the start-up world, and has a rich resume’ as a mentor and investor in dozens of San Diego based technology start-ups. He is a founder and past president and chairman of CommNexus, a San Diego organization focused on the communications industry. Mr. Thompson has been honored with awards to the San Diego technology community.

He was the CFO of Winfield Industries, a company he helped turn around, capitalize and quadruple revenues to $40,000,000 before being successfully sold to Maxxim Medical. Randy also held the title of Senior Audit Manager at a “Big Four” accounting firm where he specialized in technology and medical device manufacturers.
