San Diego Regional EDC Presents...

Forty-Fourth Annual Dinner

Featured Speaker:
Dean Kamen
Inventor, Innovator, Entrepreneur
Best known for the Segway, an electronic human transporter; the first insulin pump; a portable water filtration system for developing countries; and the iBOT, an all-terrain electronic wheelchair -- Dean Kamen is sort of a rock star in the world of inventors!

His DEKA Arm was recently featured on 60-Minutes as the biggest innovation in prosthetic arms since World War II, making it possible for amputees to pick up small, delicate objects they never thought they would master.

A tireless advocate for science and technology, Kamen’s passion is to spread the word about technology’s virtues, and by so doing inspire the next generation of the innovation economy.
