Our speaker, Claudia Schwartz, will discuss investigations practices that often land HR professionals in court. She will also offer tops on how to avoid pitfalls that can be costly to our companies and ourselves. Bring your questions and learn about investigations myths and tips in areas such as:

Claudia Schwartz's knowledge on this subject comes from real life experience, including: Conducting and managing in-house investigations while holding senior HR management positions at companies with up to 10,000 employees across industries for 18 years. Conducting over 55 complex investigations under a Private Investigator's license as an outside investigator for the past 10 years. Being an expert witness in employment court cases involving workplace investigations. Being the court-appointed monitor for an EEOC consent decree resulting from a $47 million harassment and discrimination class-action settlement. Teaching applied employment law at the UCSD HR Certificate Program and directing UCSD's HR. Creating and delivering investigation training and "how to" investigations guides.
