Two Hours of Tough Love for the Entrepreneur

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the CommNexus NextStage program is to increase the number and success of technology companies in San Diego region.

How it Works
The NextStage Program provides advice and assistance to entrepreneurs in areas such as fundraising, sales and marketing, product development, management, and strategy.

The Entrepreneur completes an on-line application outlining a key business decision that the company is currently facing.  The NextStage committee reviews each application through a selection process. A company accepted into the program prepares a presentation outlining this key business decision. The NextStage committee assembles a uniquely qualified group of experienced industry executives for a two-hour "scrub" session. The group offers the entrepreneur candid feedback, advice and introductions to industry contacts.

There is no cost to the entrepreneur for this program. Because CommNexus is comprised of leading companies, the panels include high-caliber executives from the San Diego community. <more>

Selection Process
The NextStage committee  reviews and selects the applicants to participate in the NextStage events throughout the year.  We accept companies at all stages of development – from concept to thriving and profitable companies.  All the entrepreneurs accepted into the program share these attributes:

  • They are passionate and knowledgeable.
  • They are at a major decision point with their business.
  • They will accept feedback.
