CommNexus NextStage™
Other Resources

CommNexus San Diego's NextStage program is just one of many programs in San Diego that offer advice to entrepreneurs. Some of the key features of NextStage are:

  • We draw from a wide array of executives in the communications field so you can be sure that your scrub team will have industry and functional insight.
  • Since the scrub teams have less than 10 people, the sessions are relatively intimate with a lot of interaction.
  • The NextStage program is designed as a one-time event to help with specific situations. If you seek mentoring over a period of time, one of the other programs in the area is better suited to fit your needs.
  • The NextStage program prides itself on providing candid feedback.

Some of the other programs you should consider include:

Springboard Program from Connect
Springboard is a year-round program that helps technology-based companies evolve and refine their business and financial strategies through a group mentoring process. http://www.connect.org/programs/springboard/index.htm

The Chairmen’s Roundtable
The Chairmen’s RoundTable is a non-profit volunteer organization comprised of successful Chief Executive Officers with diverse industry backgrounds who provide businesses in San Diego County advice on how to manage and grow their businesses through a well-defined mentoring program. Mentoring services are customized to the needs of each client. Mentor assignments and the approach taken are based upon the client’s industry and the nature of the issues that need to be addressed. Most engagements are completed within 2 – 6 months. http://www.chairmensroundtable.com/

San Diego MIT Enterprise Forum
The San Diego MIT Enterprise Forum educates entrepreneurs in an informative and entertaining environment in front of a diverse audience of San Diego business leaders and technologists, as well as capital and service providers. The Forum welcomes the CEO of a local, up and coming, high technology company to present an executive overview and two current challenges facing the business. Presenting companies are privately held and have either completed a round of funding or are generating revenue to date. An expert panel of advisors lends their advice and draws upon their experiences to provide feedback and potential solutions to these challenges based on their own professional experiences and expertise. http://www.sdmitforum.org/
