JHG-Townsend
Jayne Hancock, former CEO and president of Jayne Hancock Group (JHG), has had nearly 20 years of success in media and entertainment. Jayne joined DIRECTV as a start-up in 1995 where she was ultimately responsible for more than $5 billion in revenue annually. As vice president of consumer marketing, Jayne was responsible for its consumer marketing initiatives and helped to launch a variety of services, including DIRECTV Para Todes, its publishing unit and oversaw all sponsorship activities. While at DIRECTV, Hancock was instrumental in the development of numerous service packages, most notably NFL Sunday Ticket — considered by many to be the most successful sports broadcast package in history. Prior to DIRECTV, Jayne spent six years as an associate athletic director, both at the University of Southern California and at San Diego State University. Early in her career, Jayne’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to co-found Spectator Sports, a San Diego-based sporting event publication company. The experience gained by running her own business has provided Jayne with the unique ability to understand the needs of entrepreneurs in order to create specialized marketing programs that guide JHG-Townsend clients to successfully compete in today’s digital economy.
Upon founding JHG in 2005, Jayne created an invaluable marketing partnership resource for multi-channel entities organizations, such as Comcast, Rogers Communications, Cox Communications, and QUALCOMM’s MediaFLO U.S.A. for content delivery strategy, service packaging and marketing to both consumers and partners. Jayne received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and a Masters from the University of Southern California.
