The Mobile/Carrier SIG Presents...
Power to the People!
Battery Technology and Low-Power Solutions for Mobile Devices
Battery hungry advances are taking the power from the people (and their mobile phones)! What's in store to keep the power balance in check?
Find out at the Power Hour!
Date:
Thursday, January 17, 2007
Time:
7:00am Registration/ Networking
7:30am Event Begins
9:00am Event Ends
Mark your calendar now! How better to begin 2008 than to explore the never-ending balance of power? OK, you may not leave this event with global political and economic insight, but you most certainly will have a better appreciation for power economics in small form factor devices. Consider it our version of supply & demand!
Hosted by the Mobile/Carrier SIG, join Portable Design Magazine Editor John Donovan and Industry Analyst Iain Gillott along with Jim Cathey, Vice President of MEMS Technologies at Qualcomm and Joe Carcone, Vice President of PowerGenix for our version of the Power Hour. Our panel will discuss the demand side of "unwired" devices as well as the supply side of battery technology. Where we are today and where we are going in the future. Do we have the power to meet the demand?
This event is sure to get everyone charged up!
