Bo Hedfors, a native of Sweden, has 40 years of global telecom experience in both wireline and wireless. He founded his own telecom/internet consulting practice in Chicago, USA in 2002. Previously, Bo was Executive Vice President of Motorola and President of its global wireless infrastructure business based in Chicago. He came to Motorola in 1998 from Ericsson, where he spent 30 years in different management positions. Among them, president of Honeywell Ericsson Development Co. in Anaheim, California 1984-1986; Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of LM Ericsson in Stockholm, Sweden 1990-1993; President and CEO of Ericsson, Inc. in Dallas, Texas 1994-1998. Bo is member of the board of two public companies: Tellabs in Illinois and Openwave in California. He is also on the board of three private companies: Silicon Valley based Kineto Wireless and Firetide and San Diego based E-Band Communications. Bo has served as advisor to Sun, Compaq and HP and is currently engaged as advisor to both small private and large public communications companies worldwide. Bo is a former long-term member of the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA). He has served on several university boards and is currently Chairman of US Friends of Chalmers University of Technology, Inc. Also, Bo is on the board of CommNexus San Diego, a network of communications companies and he is a board member of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in San Diego. Bo holds a Master of Electrical Engineering degree from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden and he is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.

Inventor of the First Portable Cell Phone
Marty is widely recognized as a pioneer and inventor in the personal and wireless telecommunications industry. He introduced the first portable cellular radiotelephone in 1973 - a device that billions of people use globally today. While a co-founder and Chairman of GreatCall, he continues to work full-time as Executive Chairman of ArrayComm, the world leader in Smart Antenna technology, which he founded in 1992. Prior to Arraycomm, he co-founded Cellular Business Systems, Inc. and led it to dominate the cellular billing industry before selling it to Cincinnati Bell (now Convergys). During a 29 year career at Motorola he did his most prominent work. He was a Division Manager and Corporate Director of Research and Development where he created a number of major businesses including cellular systems and devices, high-capacity paging, trunked mobile radio systems (known as SMRS - the technology used by Nextel), quartz crystals, liquid crystal displays, and various mobile and portable two-way radio product lines. Portable cell phones alone have had cumulative sales for Motorola of billions of dollars. In addition to his leadership in technology, he helped guide the strategic and regulatory policy at Motorola that disrupted AT&T's plans to monopolize the emerging cellular industry. Marty holds nine patents in the communications field. He has received numerous awards and now serves on the U.S. Department of Commerce Spectrum Advisory Committee, which advises the Executive Branch and the President on Radio Spectrum Policy.

Phil Baker

Former Apple Newton Executive
Phil Baker has developed consumer and computer products for Polaroid, Apple, Seiko and others. Products include the SX-70 camera, Apple Newton, Apple PowerBooks, and the Stowaway folding keyboard. He holds 30 patents and was named San Diego's Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for consumer products in 2001. Phil is the technology columnist for the San Diego Transcript, has a technology hour on KOGO AM. and continues to develop new products for companies in Asia.

Skip Powers
Co-Founder, Silicon Wave - World's First Bluetooth Chip
As business development manager and program manager with Conexant Systems spin-off Skyworks Solutions, Inc., [NASDAQ: SWKS], Skip was responsible for managing a multi-national, multi-company team developing integrated circuits and software for GSM handsets, and for evaluating and licensing technologies to augment Skyworks’ core competencies. As director of Bluetooth products for RangeStar Wireless (now part of TYCO), he helped establish the company’s position as the leading supplier of embedded antennas for Bluetooth wireless devices.   A Co-Founder and Director of corporate development of Silicon Wave (acquired by RF Micro Devices, then by Qualcomm), Skip authored the company’s initial and subsequent-round business plans, which raised $57 million in corporate and venture-capital funding.   Prior to co-founding Silicon Wave, Skip held several positions in marketing and product development with Peregrine Semiconductor Corporation, where he was a key participant in the development of the company’s business plans and product strategies, raising more than $20 million in several private offerings.  Skip also co-founded and served as chairman and CEO of Xtar Corporation.  Recent projects include developing a test plan for GPS/Bluetooth coexistence tests, for a major instrumentation manufacturer, and a study funded by the National Science Foundation to investigate the interference effects of Bluetooth devices on 802.11b wireless networks in retail environments.
