With the explosive growth in analytics market with software like Google Analytics, Web analytics, search analytics, ad analytics, mobile analytics and more, there are many ways now for marketers to show clear ROI on their marketing investments. Analytics is now becoming a critical part of how marketers demonstrate value of their programs to senior management. This session with panelists from a diverse range of analytics software categories will explore the options and the marketers need for using analytics as a critical performance measurement tool and help them increase their marketing budgets.

Pelin Wood Thorogood

Pelin Wood Thorogood is a pragmatic strategist and digital marketing expert with more than 15 years of B2B marketing and technology experience.  Throughout her career, Pelin has been in the forefront of emerging technologies and trends.  Currently, Pelin is a Managing Partner of Aegean Group, offering a full spectrum of marketing services that include go-to-market planning; positioning, pricing and licensing strategies; as well as internet and traditional marketing programs execution.  Most recently, Pelin was the Senior Vice President of Marketing for WebSideStory (acquired by Omniture), a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider of real-time, multi-channel analytics solutions.   Delivering on the company’s mission at a personal level, Pelin effectively leveraged the WebSideStory digital marketing applications and its extensive partner network to drive a highly successful B2B marketing strategy, resulting in significant new bookings growth and 90+% customer retention.  Prior to WebSideStory, Pelin served as the Director of Product Marketing for Peregrine Systems (acquired by HP), a leading service and asset management software vendor.  During her nearly 5-year tenure at Peregrine Systems, Pelin led the company’s foray into the employee self service (ESS) category, extending their traditional enterprise software business into web-based applications which achieved revenues in excess of $100 million.  Through the mid-to-late 90s, Pelin drove the mobile application strategy at Wright Strategies and launched one the very first mobile B2B applications designed for the Windows CE platform.  “Green” before her time, Pelin started the early 90s as an environmental engineer for Woodward Clyde Consultants, a global engineering consultancy.  As the company’s youngest Project Engineer, she led the design and implementation of air, soil, and groundwater remediation systems for clients as diverse as Shell Oil and the Army Corps of Engineers.  Pelin has also held senior marketing and engineering positions at Inasoft and Phoenix Technologies.  Pelin holds Bachelor of Science in Operations Research, Master of Environmental Engineering and Master of Business Administration degrees, all from Cornell University.

Ken Kalb

Mr. Kalb is a serial Entrepreneur.  He is currently CEO of Analog Analytics, which he co-founded in November of 2007.  The company is focused on being the market leader in performance metrics and optimization for all off-line advertising.  Prior to Analog Analytics, Mr. Kalb was CEO of SearchRev from May of 2006 to September of 2007, a leading provider of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) solutions.  He successfully sold the company to AKQA / General Atlantic. Mr. Kalb has a history of developing and guiding start up companies and growing them to substantial market power.  He founded San Diego-based Continuous Computing Corporation a leading provider of telecom network infrastructure equipment in 1998 and was CEO and chairman of the company until 2005.  During that period Mr. Kalb raised more than $52M in capital, won the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2005 and was recognized by Deloitte & Touche on seven occasions for the company’s rapid growth rate.  Prior to Continuous Computing Mr. Kalb was President of Emultech and Israeli simulation tool company where he doubled revenue and lead a successful IPO in 12 months.  Mr Kalb attended American University and NYU Graduate Film School and is a graduate of Jericho High School in New York.  He currently shares his time between homes in Manhattan and San Diego, California.

Dema Zlotin

Dema has played an integral role in the creation and development of Covario’s innovative Interactive Marketing Analytics software platform. As Founder and Vice President of strategic services, Dema is responsible for strategic alliances, partnerships and the development of new Covario markets. Prior to Covario, Dema was President of Silicon Space Inc., an enterprise software consultancy firm, which he also co-founded. While at Silicon Space, Dema created customized web-based enterprise software solutions for commercial and federal organizations including Disney, Harcourt, Hewlett-Packard, Overland Storage and the US Navy. A member of the CMO Council and frequent speaker at industry conferences, Dema has been the recipient of several prestigious awards and nominations including E&Y's Entrepreneur of the Year and the Starcom award. Dema has also consulted with top technology firms such as Anderson Consulting and Price Waterhouse.
Dema earned his degree from the University of California at San Diego.


Roy DiBenerdini

Roy DiBenerdini, CEO. Roy is responsible for all business development,  service and product strategy for iiON. Roy brings 20 years of experience in  research analysis, strategic planning and business development. Prior to  iiON, he served as Managing Director of Marketing Planning and Research for  American Airlines (AMR Corp.) and was a Senior Consultant to Microsoft in  In-flight Entertainment and Sr. Consultant to AOL building AOL Rewards. He  holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Industrial Engineering  from the University of Texas at Arlington. Roy is a former Advisory Board  member to the United States Travel & Tourism Administration (US Dept of  Commerce).
