CommNexus, SignOnSanDiego.com, and AeA Present:

The War For Talent
A Special FREE CommNexus Event!

• EE and CSE Undergraduate enrollment in San Diego has
declined nearly 50% in the last 5 years
• The # of job openings for these engineers has been rising over 20% nationally during the same period, and in San Diego County, CSE positions are expected to increase nearly 50%!

Finding and retaining new high-tech talent in San Diego has never been a bigger crisis. Occupations in CSE are one of the fastest growing professions with the most job growth in the US, but local, lucrative engineering positions are going unfilled. Why?

Enrollment at San Diego’s engineering schools has declined severely, while the students who DO obtain an engineering degree are leaving town for other tech clusters. Because of this, San Diego is facing serious concerns with the current state of our technical talent workforce. CommNexus is committed to doing something about this crisis.

Our panel of highly experienced HR executives will discuss the challenges of recruiting and retaining talent in San Diego, and what our community and CommNexus is doing to keep our best and brightest here when they graduate. They will discuss how internships are a KEY component in winning this talent war, as 50% of interns accept a full-time position after graduation. Join us on this crucial discussion to learn what you and your HR department can do to win the talent war!
