Recent case law developments will substantially impact your IP-based business.  For example, the Seagate decision changed a 24-year-old precedent now making it more difficult for a patent owner to prove willful infringement and obtain enhanced damages from an infringer.  Has your business adapted to these and other patent law changes?  Our speaker, John Giust, will discuss the impact of Seagate and other recent patent cases.   Patent Reform legislation (S. 1145) is currently being considered by the Senate.  Our speaker, Pedro F. Suarez, will provide a brief update on what is being proposed and how these changes will impact San Diego's technology-based economy.
