Nadir Shaikh
Managing Director & Global Head of Communications Technology Investment, Credit Suisse
Nadir Shaikh is Managing Director & Global Head of the Communications Technology investment banking practice at Credit Suisse, based in San Francisco. Representative clients that Nadir has advised include Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Nortel, Tellabs, Scientific-Atlanta, ADC Telecommunications, CIENA, JDS Uniphase and several others. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Nadir led the Communications Equipment banking team at Banc of America Securities and was a member of that team at its predecessor firm, Montgomery Securities. He was previously a member of the Telecom Services investment banking group at Robertson Stephens, a boutique investment bank based in San Francisco. Prior to that, he was a member of Bank of America's Project Finance Group, advising multinational clients on the financing of new telecommunications networks across the globe.
Thomas Munro
CEO, Verimatrix
Thomas Munro is currently CEO of Verimatrix, a company which sets the standard for software-based content security and revenue enhancement technologies in pay-TV networks, with a global customer base of telecommunications providers. Mr. Munro has over 22 years of experience in both finance and technology. Prior to Verimatrix, he was President of Wireless Facilities, Inc., a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless mobility and broadband wireless networks. Munro also served as CFO of WFI from 1997 to 2000, through the company's successful IPO, and as President from September of 2000 until his retirement in January 2003. Prior to joining WFI, Mr. Munro was founder and CEO of @Market, a retail sporting goods website.
