The Health Communications SIG Presents...

Do you or someone you know suffer from a chronic disease?  If you do, you are not alone.  Over 600 million people worldwide suffer from chronic diseases, all while health care costs are skyrocketing.  Telehealth is one avenue that leads to improvement in healthy living.

With the personal telehealth ecosystem on the cusp of incredible growth, the collective industries of Continua Health Alliance  now have a window of opportunity to accelerate the telehealth movement by collaborating on standards and guidelines.  This will enable an ecosystem where many diverse vendors can combine their products into new value propositions.

At CommNexus’ Health Communications SIG, attendees will be introduced to Continua Health Alliance (www.continuaalliance.org), an international alliance of 170+ technology, healthcare, and fitness companies dedicated to establishing an ecosystem of connected personal health and fitness products and services.

Mr. Cnossen, Technical Working Group Chair for Continua Health Alliance, will inform attendees of the alliance's efforts in telehealth and how the organization works to make it possible for patients, caregivers, and health care providers to proactively address ongoing health care needs.  He will review the Use Cases, detail the standards that constitute the Version 1 Guidelines, and discuss upcoming industry opportunities and needs.

This is your opportunity to learn about the latest products and services that are available to improve the quality of life for people worldwide, so remember to bring your questions!
