The Semiconductor SIG Presents... A Special Event

Steve Mollenkopf, EVP & President
Qualcomm CDMA Technologies Presents:

Wireless: the Bridge to Sustainable Growth
for Emerging and Developed Markets

The effects of the current economic downturn have been far-reaching, and the wireless semiconductor industry has not been spared.  Yet despite numerous indicators that consumer spending is down and consumer confidence is hitting all-time lows, mobile phones are still selling and wireless data is still being used. People are looking to wireless as not a luxury, but a necessity for everyday life.  Wireless has become the lifeline for many regions around the world, from emerging markets where it may be the way many people experience the Internet for the first time, to developed markets where it is an integral part of doing global business.  The industry must re-evaluate how it operates as a whole in order to not only ride out this recession but ensure that there is a path to strong, sustainable growth well into the future.
