Come and hear experts from several local companies who are growing successful businesses by using the latest in wireless technology to track and monitor valuable assets that move around such as kids, taxis, trucks, and financed automobiles as well as monitoring events, in some cases even preventing certain unwanted events from occurring. Today's methods not only allow networks to know the location of these kinds of assets, but can also create the potential for a range of intelligent monitoring and reporting analysis. Brandon Nixon
CEO, DriveCam Inc.
Brandon Nixon is an entrepreneur and visionary with a track record of leading successful, high-growth, communications and technology-oriented businesses. Mr. Nixon came to DriveCam from ViaSat, where he served as senior vice president responsible for all of the company’s commercial businesses. Prior to ViaSat, Mr. Nixon was CEO of Enerdyne Technologies, Inc., when it was acquired by ViaSat. Earlier, Mr. Nixon served as the chief executive officer of Enerdyne’s parent company along, with a sibling subsidiary, Boatracs LLC. Prior to joining Enerdyne, Mr. Nixon spent nearly two decades in a variety of executive, management and investor positions within the technology and communication industries, including Hewlett-Packard, Texas Instruments, PCSI/Cirrus Logic and SAIC. Prior to joining Enerdyne, Mr. Nixon was a general partner with a private equity firm, Housatonic Partners, where he founded the firm’s communications practice. In his capacity as general partner, he invested in or acquired a number of telecommunications-related companies. Mr. Nixon holds a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from University of California, San Diego and an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Paul Washicko
President and CEO, Air-Trak
Paul Washicko joined the Air-Trak team as President and CEO in early 2008. He has built and led multiple teams in high-growth technology ventures and has extensive experience in engineering, corporate development, operations and integration.
Prior to joining Air-Trak, Washicko served as President of Networkcar and led Networkcar through its rapid growth phase and sale of the company to Hughes Telematics, Inc. In 2000, he joined Reynolds and Reynolds, as Director of Corporate Strategy and Development and led the company's original investment in Networkcar, roll-out of the product from within Reynolds, and subsequent full acquisition. In 2002 with the acquisition, he took over as General Manager of Networkcar for the parent company. Prior to joining Reynolds, he worked in International Business Development for TRW, developing and marketing wireless communications, imaging and laser technology products. Prior to TRW, he served in various capacities at McDonnell Douglas, from design engineering to program management, for international customers. Washicko holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and an M.B.A. from the Marshall School at the University of Southern California.
Mark Wells
CTO and Fleet Division President, Procon Inc. (formerly DriveOK Inc.)
Mr. Wells is a wireless industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in the development and marketing of wireless products and services. Mr. Wells co-founded DriveOK Inc. (now Procon) and is now acting as CTO as well as leading the company's fleet division in its continued exceptional growth in the GPS vehicle tracking business. Prior to DriveOK, he has held marketing responsibility, while with Nokia Mobile Phones, for more than $10B worth of Nokia's mobile phone products and has served as Vice-President & General Manager at DSP Communications, as part of the team that sold the company to Intel for $1.6B. As President & CEO of Zucotto Wireless, Mr. Wells raised $55M in venture capital to develop wireless semiconductors, gaining such customers as Panasonic, Nokia, and Alcatel. Mr. Wells has also mentored over a dozen startup companies and has consulted to a variety of Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Wells is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.

CTO, Pacific DataVision, Inc.
Frank Creede, is an investor and CTO of Pacific DataVision, Inc. where he leads the company’s development of Push to X wireless applications. Frank is a member of the San Diego Tech Coast Angels and an active angel investor in Southern California emerging high tech companies for 7 years. Frank was formerly the Chairman, President, & CEO of Logic Innovations, Inc., a division of U.K. based Xyratex Ltd. Logic Innovations, which provides data broadcasting products and development services, was founded by Frank in 1986 and acquired by the former division of IBM in 1999. Frank is also a Partner and Founder of Staffing Innovations, LLC, a technical contract outsourcing business headquartered in San Diego.
Frank is also a mentor and member of the Chairman’s Roundtable, a non-profit volunteer organization comprised of successful Chief Executive Officers who provide businesses in San Diego County advice on how to manage and grow their businesses through a well-defined mentoring program. CRT members provide this service free of charge to qualified area businesses as a way of giving back to the community.
Frank holds a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering from UC Davis and he has completed coursework for the MBA program at San Diego State University.
