The Mobile Software Development SIG Presents...
Building Native Smartphone Apps with Rhodes for Android & iPhone
Rhodes is a free open source framework that lets you quickly write native apps for iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile, and BlackBerry using your existing web skills. Rhodes is the only framework that supports the Model View Controller pattern (so familiar to modern web developers regardless of their development language) and supports sync to provide offline data and easier app integration. We will demonstrate writing a smartphone app that integrates with an enterprise backend application complete with synchronized data, a native user interface and robust use of device capabilities such as GPS and native mapping.
