There's a huge buzz in Silicon Valley with quite a bit of investing activity and competition for the best deals.  It's this type of activity that has motivated investors to look for opportunities in other markets than Northern California in the past.  Buzz Kreppel of Silicon Valley Bank will be giving you the inside scoop on venture funding trends.  He will provide you with insight into current Venture Capital Finance Trends regarding Series A investment volume, Valuation Trends and VC perspectives collected from the SVB Network.  As Venture Debt is becoming more competitive with a variety of players involved, this session will help you gain insight into these players financial motivations and the types of terms you can expect to see in such transactions.  Syndicated Debt Transactions for $30,000,000 to $250,000,000 continue to be funded by a group of dedicated Lenders.  Learn what requirements need to be met to qualify for this financing and what general terms are involved. 
This session will utilize stats, real deals and case studies to illustrate the current market.

Frederick "Buzz" Kreppel is senior relationship manager with Silicon Valley Bank’s San Diego office. He is responsible for managing the operations of the office and leads its technology banking team. This includes a variety of lending, investment and global treasury management solutions tailored to private, venture-backed firms as well as small cap, publicly traded firms. Kreppel began his banking career with Comerica in 1991 and joined Silicon Valley Bank in 1993. Kreppel spent the first 13 years of his career with Silicon Valley Bank in its Bay Area offices where he held a variety of roles working with private and public companies of all sizes... Kreppel has extensive experience structuring unique debt facilities for both technology and life science companies and advising clients on international strategies, investments and cash management. In 2006, Kreppel joined the San Diego office to expand Silicon Valley Bank’s local market share. Kreppel has been a member of the Bay Area charity Rebuilding Together and led Silicon Valley Bank’s annual house rebuilding project for 10 consecutive years. He has also been an active participant in the San Jose Food Bank and Poway School district in San Diego. Kreppel earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from San Jose State University and is a graduate of the American School of Banking.
