The SDTC Military Special Interest Group (SIG) presents...

"Getting in the Gate"
Please Note: Interest in this event has been overwhelming.  We have had to move the location across the street from SPAWAR to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD).  Note directions below (essentially the same).

Over the past couple of years, SPAWAR has made great strides developing programs and procedures to become a "small business friendly" customer. SPAWAR wants to show you, the small enterprise, how to engage with them and get their business. Getting in the SPAWAR gate requires some basic education. Your Military Special Interest Group of the San Diego Telecom Council invite you, the potential vendor of technology & products, to a learn how, directly from the government customer.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
San Diego is fortunate to be home for one of the largest technology divisions of the military - Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR).  SPAWAR's mission is to provide the warfighter with knowledge superiority by developing, delivering and maintaining effective, capable and integrated command, control, communications, computer intelligence and surveillance systems.  SPAWAR provides information technology and space systems for today's Navy and Defense Department activities while planning and designing for the future.

This program consists of two hours of training and getting government business, focused on SPAWAR.  You will get the SPAWAR point of view from the Commander level and the SPAWAR Small Business Office level.  We intend to lead you step-by-step through the process.  A former SPAWAR contractor who has experience working for a major DoD contractor as well as a small non-DoD business will give you insights and lessons learned.  We will have a Case Study to help with in depth understanding of the process.  Representatives of Contracts will be there as a resource for questions and pointers.  A SPAWAR telecommunications program Manager will be there to talk about his needs and give you pointers on how to get his business.  Don't miss this opportunity.  ATTENDANCE IS LIMITED.  SIGN UP NOW!
