PROGRAM OVERVIEW: Recent news has been full of relatively small companies allegedly holding large enterprises hostage due to the ownership of patents and other intellectual property. These smaller players have been dubbed “Patent Trolls” by their larger brethren, a new term of art in the world of intellectual property. But is there really anything wrong with enforcing your patents against larger companies who you believe are infringing? Join us to examine this very topical and controversial issue at the next IP SIG.

Bruce Hollibaugh, Vice President, Sales, TAEUS International Corporation Bruce Hollibaugh has worked on major licensing campaigns with multiple Fortune 500 companies. He has been with TAEUS International Corporation since 1999, and prior to TAEUS, he was a principal and founder of H-Technical Sales, a manufactures representative organization with over $65M in annual sales. With over 20 years of experience managing sales teams and major OEMs, he is positioned well to take on the challenges this industry provides.
Tony Dain, Partner, Procopio Mr. Dain is partner in the Intellectual Property practice group of Procopio Cory Hargreaves and Savitch LLP. He is a registered patent attorney, and a veteran of over 50 jury trials. He has experience in both prosecuting and defending patent infringement actions. Most recently, Mr. Dain defended a wireless telecommunications company in a patent infringement action brought by a non-practicing entity.

Epstein, Managing Partner, Nath & Associates PLLC Mr. Epstein's area of practice entails providing legal advice to businesses as an outsourced general counsel with an emphasis on general corporate governance, drafting and negotiating agreements, real estate transactions and litigation, insurance coverage and general business litigation.
