PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
A company’s identity is at risk every time an employee visits a Web page, downloads online data, performs an Internet search, or even sends an email. Exposed IP addresses can lead to inaccurate information or blocked access to Web sites. In fact, savvy Web administrators are able to show certain visitors, such as their competitors, inaccurate or disguised information on their site. They also have the capabilities to block certain visitors from viewing their Web site altogether. This makes it increasingly difficult for companies to obtain accurate competitive information and could lead to misinformed decisions.

Join Lance Cottrell, the founder and president of Anonymizer, Inc., an internationally recognized expert in cryptography and online privacy and security issues, as he explains online threats and solutions to protect the enterprise identity, providing information assurance when users are online.

PANELIST:
Lance Cottrell, founder and president, Anonymizer, Inc.

Lance Cottrell is an internationally recognized expert in cryptography, online privacy, and Internet security issues.  Since founding Anonymizer, Inc. in 1995, he has gained wide media exposure for the company and has been quoted by The Wall Street Journal, CNET, ComputerWorld, FOX News, and more.  Mr. Cottrell has addressed conferences such as the Computers Freedom and Privacy Conference, Organization Economic Cooperation and Development in Europe (OECD), and the MIT Forum.  A certified Information Systems Security Professional, Mr. Cottrell is also the principal author on three Internet privacy and security technology patent applications.  While sitting on the steering committee for Software as a Service (SaaS) with the San Diego Software Industry Council (SDSIC), he is also an active member of InfraGard and the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA).  Mr. Cottrell holds a BS degree from University California San Diego and a Masters degree in Astrophysics.
