PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Consumer demand for premium digital media content is increasing, and with this growth comes new devices and distribution scenarios to drive even greater interest and usage.  Windows Media DRM is a robust and flexible platform that can protect and securely deliver audio/video content for playback on PCs, mobile devices, portable devices and more.

This talk will provide an overview of the scenarios and representative usage models supported by Windows Media DRM and to provide a forum to discuss current industry trends and evolution of the platform.

 

PANELISTS:
Marcus Matthis, Product Manager, Windows Media DRM
Marcus is a product manager in charge of Microsoft's Windows Media Digital Rights Management (DRM) platform and Windows Media codec technologies. In six years at Microsoft, he has been involved in numerous product launches, including Windows Media DRM 10, Windows Media 9 Series, Windows XP and Windows 2000.  Prior to Microsoft, Marcus held a variety of positions spanning financial services, consulting, and corporate finance. He received a Masters in Public and Private Management from Yale University and a Bachelor's degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
From the 805 Freeway, go east on Mira Mesa Boulevard.
Turn left on Genetic Center Drive, then turn right on Sequence Drive.
The Motorola office is located at 6450 Sequence Drive, at the intersection of Genetic Center Drive and Sequence Drive. (The building sits back off the road slightly.)
