Mobile Wireless - LAN/WAN/PAN Special Interest Group - The Wireless Future: What are the technology issues and business opportunities?
The San Diego Telecom Council is launching the Mobile Wireless Special Interest Group (Mobile Wireless SIG) to provide a forum for senior executives in this sector to share technical and market information, review current issues, and create partnerships and joint ventures.
The first session is January 30, 2001, at Stellcom from 7:30 am to 9:00 a.m. and is free of charge.
Mark Fackler, Chairman of Stellcom, will address both the challenges that end-user companies face in adopting wireless technology and the business opportunities that this presents. He'll discuss the IT infrastructure issues that face today's CIOs, CTOs and CEOs. He'll also outline where wireless makes sense in today's corporate environment in terms of improving business processes and productivity. The session will wrap up with a lively discussion as attendees introduce themselves and their organizations and discuss what opportunities exist today with wireless.

Registration, networking and reception starts at 7:30 a.m. Presentation runs from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. with 15 minutes of discussion and questions. Stellcom's San Diego Headquarters are at 12670 High Bluff Drive, San Diego.
Watch for future Mobile Wireless SIG events. The group will meet every two months. The format will be breakfast meetings hosted at a mobile wireless Telecom Council member company and are free of charge to Telecom Council members.
