Two leading southern California High-Tech groups have formed an alliance to accelerate technology company growth in the region. OCTANe, Orange County’s premier high-tech group and CommNexus San Diego, San Diego’s premier network of communications companies, have joined forces to provide greater value to their thousands of constituents. Gary Augusta (CEO, OCTANe) and Rory Moore (CEO, CommNexus San Diego) share a passion for high-tech ventures and especially the entrepreneurs who create them. Working together, they believe their two organizations can create a seamless high-tech atmosphere between Orange County and San Diego County.
Under the agreement, the two groups will co-promote each other's programs and allocate FREE and DISCOUNTED seats for each other's programs. Thus, another benefit of CommNexus membership for technology company and entrepreneur members will be the opportunity to attend OCTANe programs and interact with the Orange County community without any cost. OCTANe technology company and entrepreneur members at the same time will be able to attend CommNexus events without any cost under the terms of this agreement as well. The terms of the agreement are as follows:

CommNexus technology company and entrepreneur members can attend all OCTANe “Special” Programs, like OCTANe's June 5 Southern California Semiconductor and Communications Summit (click here for agenda/registration), at the Member price instead of the Community price.
CommNexus technology company and entrepreneur members can request one of ten (10) free tickets on a first-come-first-serve basis to all OCTANe “Regular” Programs.
To take advantage of either of these offers, simply select the CommNexus option when registering on the OCTANe website.

NEW Joint Programs
Going forward, OCTANe and CommNexus will develop 3-4 joint programs per year that will be designed to bring further value and interaction between the two groups and regions. Topics include market link/partnering, capital access and other "business building" programs.
In summary, this is the first formal alliance of this kind within Southern California. It is the mission of both CommNexus and OCTANe to work with other fine people and organizations in the San Diego region to further develop Southern California as a powerful region for innovation and technology.
