Main Business Focus: Real EstateUCSDs Office of Government and Community Relations supports and promotes UCSDs mission of research, teaching and public service through government advocacy, issue management, and liaison with community and campus constituencies. Our staff interact regularly with elected and appointed officials in Washington D.C., Sacramento, and the greater San Diego region to monitor and influence legislative and agency developments. Under long-standing University of California policies, all official government contact made with government officials by UCSD faculty and staff must be conducted through the Government and Community Relations office. This ensures a unified and consistent voice for UCSD, which is essential to the success of our federal, state, and local advocacy efforts.
